Linden – Hester B Faudree, 85, of Linden, died Thursday morning in Lafayette Health Care Center. She had been a patient there for nine years. Mrs. Faudree had lived in Linden since 1955. Prior to that she lived at Richmond, Va., where she worked as a salesperson in a department store until 1954. She was a member of Linden Baptist Church. She was born June 7, 1895, at Richmond, Va., the daughter of David and Anna A. Lane Sharpe. She was first married to Charles Helms. She then married Wallace C. Faudree on July 26, 1939, at Richmond. He preceded her in death in 1952. She is survived by a son, Kenneth Helms of Dayton, Ohio; a half brother, Harvey Alley of Richmond; four grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Helms, the former Linden funeral director; four sisters; and three brothers. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Helms & Hahn Funeral Home in Linden with the Rev. Clyde Lee officiating. Burial will be in Linden Cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home 5-8 p.m. Sunday. smc
